My girlfriend is really into Bikram yoga. Has anyone ever tried this? From what she tells me, it's yoga in a studio that is very warm in temperature. She sweats a lot and feels that it helps clear her body of toxins as she is doing her yoga. She also thinks a warm atmosphere allows her muscles to naturally e more flexible and reduces chances of injury. I have never gone with her, but it sounds that it would be very uncomfortable.
Is this some new fad, or is this a legitimate thing?
Oh my gosh, my cousin does Bikram yoga and loves it. It is supposed to protect you from injury or some such thing. I am not a big fan of yoga, and I'm not crazy about heat so I am not sure this would be an exercise style I would care for. Maybe I am just not understanding the whole "zen experience"?
